


The typography of magazines refers to the colour use and also the type of font used, it distinguishes the magazines from the crowd and gives them differences from other magazines of similar genre.
The typography of Q Magazine differs to the style of MOJO despite them being similar in terms of genre but the typography is completely different, the colours used in the masthead by Q is used to make it out stand out as the colours of red and yellow are perceived quicker than any other colour by our human brain, the colour red is used more in link with the masthead.
While in MOJO the masthead is in black but the secondary colour of orange is used around the magazine this is in link with the free item which is common in many magazines.
The Pop magazine's typography is extremely simple but portrayed in a extremely different style to that of pop as its colours are of dark quantity while pop is bright and colourful. The difference in typography could be down to the artist or artists due to be on the cover that week, the genre, or the target audience.
